what it is
The name covers two compounds. The original CJC-1295 with DAC carries a drug affinity complex that binds albumin, stretching its half-life to something measured in days. The version usually sold as CJC-1295 without DAC is a different molecule, modified GRF(1-29), with a half-life of roughly half an hour. They behave nothing alike, and product listings frequently do not specify which is in the vial.
what the evidence shows
The DAC form reached early clinical development and produced sustained elevations in growth hormone and IGF-1. Development was halted following a participant death during a trial; causality was disputed but the programme did not continue. There are no completed trials supporting either version for the purposes it is sold for now.

Whether the sustained, non-pulsatile elevation the DAC form produces is desirable at all — it removes precisely the physiological pattern that secretagogues are supposed to preserve. Long-term consequences of continuous IGF-1 elevation are not characterised in healthy people. The compound sits in FDA Category 2.

If you read one thing about this compound, make it the DAC distinction. Dosing information circulating online routinely conflates the two forms, and they differ in duration of action by roughly two orders of magnitude.
